With just two short months to go until the big day, the committee is working hard to bring the best event ever! Lots of great music is planned, artists and crafters are joining in daily! Don't forget the event site is switching from West Quay Street to the east side of Quay, near the Port Huron Yacht Club. The park near the marina will host the Arts and Crafter. The parking lot across from the Yacht Club will host the beverage tent and stage. We are very excited about this move and think the location will be even better than before. Lots of parking all around, making it easy to get to the event. Mark your calendar and be sure to be there!
The Art on the River Committee is happy to announce the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Foster Parent group will be at Art on the River this year, sharing information on how to become a foster parent and help children! They are sponsored by Semco Energy, one of our great sponsors for Art on the River. We want to thank them for their continued support and giving the Foster Parent group a chance to come and share with the community!
There is lots going on right now with Art on the River . . . even if it is cold outside. The committee has been working with the City of Port Huron officials to secure a better site for our event so that it can grow and become something our city can be proud of. At this time we are moving to the east side of Quay Street, and be located in a little pocket park next to the Port Huron Yacht Club as well as moving up Fort Street, where our stage and beverage tent will be located. This will be PARTY CENTRAL! Artists and crafter applications are being released, so if you are a fine artist or crafter, and want to participate this year, join our Facebook page and download it there, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will make sure you get one. Remember, this is a juried art fair, so you must send in the application with the required photos and information. Last year our artists and crafters were fabulous and people found tons of great gifts. Heck, many of us from the committee were able to purchase all our Christmas gifts right at the event!
The stage is being booked now. There will be more information released about that as we move forward. Keep checking for the releases in the next month!
Mark your calendars now folks and make sure you are at Art on the River in June!!!
