Community Enterprises of St. Clair County envisions a community that includes persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities in all places, activities, and social interaction as welcomed and valued citizens.
Their Mission is to train and support persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities and negotiate with community members those arrangements that facilitate opportunities to live, work, recreate and socialize with others.
Community Enterprises of St. Clair County was formed in October of 2011 by The Arc of St. Clair County as a new private, non-profit organization to assume responsibility for and operation of programs that serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These programs are designed to help individuals in their quest to live, work, and be included with others in all aspects and places of community life.
Community Enterprises' dedicated staff believe in Programs offered by Community Enterprises and strive for one or several of the following goals: 1) Community Inclusion, 2) Increased productivity, 3) greater self-reliance, 4) economic self-sufficiency, and 5) growth in one's self-esteem.
