Jewelry by Gavotte will be attending Art on the River this year. Linda Michilli, of Yale, Michigan will bring some beautiful designs for you to enjoy.
Linda stated that this business really started out by her making Pirate beads and jewelry for her husband and a few of their Pirate friends. Wish some feedback from non-Pirate friends, it evolved into jewelry for all occasions. She likes to do custom pieces that match a person's wardrobe or personality. She likes being able to do custom size pieces also . . . not everyone wears the same size in a bracelet or a necklace. Linda does house parties where the hostess always receives free jewelry and people can browse and buy from a vast selection of jewelry on site so there is no ordering, no waiting and no shipping and handling fees.
To contact Linda, you can email her at email@example.com for more info and to book a party. Yoy

Charles Schoor VFW Auxiliary #796 Sponsors the Traveling Michigan Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Art on the River
The Art on the River Committee would like to send a heartfelt thanks to the Charles Schoor VFW Auxiliary #796 for their help in sponsoring the Traveling Michigan Vietnam Veterans Memorial as it returns to Art on the River this year.
The Memorial will be in attendance throughout the event. Starting on Saturday morning, June 8th at 8 a.m., the Legion Riders, Freedom Riders, Eagles and Port Huron Masons along with the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, Marysville Police Department, Port Huron Police Department and Port Huron Fire Department will escort the Memorial from the Marysville Meijer's Parking lot on Gratiot Blvd north (on Gratiot) to Military. From there they will proceed straight up Military to the Art on the River event site at Quay and Huron in Downtown Port Huron. For those that wish to observe this procession, you should be somewhere on the route by 8 a.m. as we can't promise how soon they will leave Marysville and how fast they will be traveling (this will depend on traffic).
Once they arrive in Port Huron, they will set up and a ceremony welcoming the Memorial to Port Huron and Art on the River will begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be several dignitaries in attendance. A bagpipe will play, The Allied Veterans Color Guard will post the colors and the Allied Veterans Honor Guard will give a gun salute and play taps. The New Horizons Orchestra will be on hand to play the National Anthem and some great music after the ceremony is over with at 10 a.m.
Please plan to attend this moving tribute to our men and women who make the ultimate sacrifice for our country! And thank you to all the Veterans groups who contributed to bring this Memorial to Port Huron and Art on the River.
