Jacob Smith, one of our younger artists, will be showing many of his beautiful jewelry designs at Art on the River.
Jacob designs and creates jewelry that features Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, pewter and semi-precious stones. He makes necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Jacob is just 14 years old and is saving his money to go to the Gemological Institute of America, with hopes of being a gemologist. We hope that you will stop by and visit Jacob at his tent on Quay Street near the Michigan Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Jacob is sponsored by Lakewood Theraputic Massage.

Kara's Minions are the cutest little animals! Kara Pettee will be joining Art on the River for her first year. She brings with her some awesome little animals to put on your shelves. She also has some very lovely beaded jewelry!
Kara stated in a note to the committee that, "I am a crafter in-progress with a love for the beauty of art. I have been creating things from clay for a couple years now, and love every moment of it. I deeply enjoy being able to bring an idea into the world with my own hands, such as something that already exists, or something from my own imagination. Far more satisfactory than drawing, clay can show the world something in full 3D that can last forever!
Kara creates all her sculptures with much love which is reflected in her trademark symbol on all her work . . . a heart. Stop by and say hi to Kara. She will be located in the West Quay parking lot near the stage.
Donna Peterson of Bella Donna's Baubles shared with us that she goes on trips and digs up gemstones, geodes, crystals and rocks. This is Bella Donna's Baubles first year at Art on the River and we would like to give her an extra warm welcome. You will find Donna right next to Jake (with the Michigan screen printed items) on Quay Street! Stop by and say hi to Donna as you browse the many amazing items at Art on the River!
